Nice guys, relaxed atmosphere, great haircuts for a great a price. Just be warned that 1) there will be a line at most times of day (because of the aforementioned pluses) and 2) they only take cash. Well worth the trip to the ATM, though.
I've been getting my hair cut by Jon for 10 years. I live in the burbs and make the drive out to Irving Park just to get a cut. When you're waiting for a cut the Barber Shop doesn't feel like you're in line. You have a beer, hang out, listen to good tunes, and shoot the shit with the entire shop. I've always gotten a good laugh from going to Irving Park Barbershop and I'll continue to go for the rest of my life.
The barbers are some of the most supportive and caring people. They truly care about there craft and I am always able to speak freely about my thoughts, my concerns with society and they genuinely take part in the discussion. THEY EVEN HAVE A DOG!!!!! Just go get ya hair cut. [They are cash only fyi...] Their is a chase bank 4 min walk away down Lincoln Avenue and a 5/3rd bank next door as well as an ATM i. The bar next door; so don't worry about the cash.
I've been coming to barbershop for years and these guys do a fantastic job while at the same showing so much respect and good will to their customers. They are the only reason why I happily take out cash from an atm.
No bullshit instagram barbers here. Just real barbers giving solid, clean cuts, and real cold beer in that fridge. And if you’re feeling like you need to treat yourself after a long week - do yourself a favor and get the hot straight razor shave.
Been going to Jon since they were at their old location. Friendly chill barbers. Bob is always chill when he's in the shop. Even though I'm now in the burbs, I still will only come here for a nice cut.
